Transcription Rates & Turnaround Time: Charging by the line, page, or hour can quickly have you overbudget. Using my audio and video transcription services, you will always know the price of your general transcription project in advance. My prices are determined by the audio/video minute and depend on the following factors:

* audio quality

* heavy accent

* heavy technical or industry-specific terminology

* turnaround time

*time coding

*verbatim transcript

*edited transcript

*number of speakers

If any of these factors affect the price of your transcription project, I will let you know before work begins. However, generally, my video and audio transcription rates are as follows:

5-Day (or more) Turnaround: $1.25/audio min

3-Day Turnaround: $1.75/audio min

2-Day Turnaround: $2.00/audio min

1-Day Turnaround: $2.25/audio min

Transcription Extras

Time Coding: Additional 15 cents/audio min 

Verbatim Transcripts (uhs, ums, false starts included): Additional 20 cents/audio min

Edited Transcripts (grammar corrected, improved flow): Additional 45 cents/audio min

Color-coded Bible passages for sermons: $5 flat rate per transcript

** A 1-day turnaround can only be provided for recordings up to 60 minutes long.

**Audio length is rounded either up or down to the nearest minute.

Please contact me for a quote if your audio/video is longer than four hours or you are unsure of its quality. I reserve the right to specify a turnaround time I can provide based on the quality of the recording and/or my workload. Proofreading of any job I transcribe is performed free of charge. Please ask about my editing and proofreading rates without transcription.
